Original photo of something beautiful.

The three people in this photo are my mum, dad and brother. We rarely get to spend any prolonged periods of time together where we have meaningful interactions so the times where we do I value fairly highly. I had lagged behind to tie my shoelaces and when I looked up, the scene of my family all together walking alongside each other made for a lasting memory that deserved to be made permanent by a photo.

Piece of architecture I find to be great.

This is Edo Castle in Tokyo, Japan. It was built back in 1457 and parts of it still remain in the modern city today, including the castle shown in this picture and its surrounding moat. Personally I love the detailing of the roofs and how the entire aesthetic of the structure is pulled together by it. Edo Castle embodies the Japanese ethos of hyper-focused attention to detail, which I find to be admirable.

Creative piece of work I did.

Part of my HSC major work for Visual Arts, graphite and white charcoal on paper. Based on a photo my dad took on a family trip to Asia. Took me over 6 months to draw the entire thing, and a week to complete the rest of my major work due to a mixture of procrastination and a lack of material to work off (some of the information from the one photo this drawing is based off of was really unclear/messy).
